Cookie Policy
Version 1.0 — Last updated: 18 April 2026
What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that websites save on the user's device. They serve to make websites function properly, remember user preferences, and, in some cases, collect information about browsing behavior.
There are different categories of cookies:
- Technical cookies: necessary for the site to function (e.g. login session, language preferences). No consent required.
- Profiling cookies: track user behavior for advertising or marketing purposes. Require explicit consent.
- Analytics cookies: collect statistical data about site usage. Depending on configuration (e.g. anonymized or not), may require consent.
- Third-party cookies: installed by domains other than the one visited (e.g. social networks, advertising services).
Cookies used by Ritorna
The Ritorna websites — ritorna.io and ritorna.app — use exclusively technical cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the Services.

What we do NOT use
Ritorna does not use:
- Profiling cookies
- Google Analytics or other third-party analytics tools
- Tracking pixels (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn)
- Advertising or remarketing cookies
- Social media plugins that install third-party cookies
Legal basis
The technical cookies used by Ritorna are installed pursuant to art. 122(1) of the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended) and the guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante) of 10 June 2021, which allow the use of strictly necessary cookies without prior consent.
Because we use only technical cookies, no cookie banner is active on our sites.
This Cookie Policy fulfills the disclosure obligation under art. 122(1) of the Italian Privacy Code.
How to manage cookies from your browser
Although technical cookies are necessary for the site to function, you can manage them directly from your browser:
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Note: if you disable technical cookies, some site functions (such as login session) may not work properly.
Local storage in the mobile app
The Ritorna mobile app (iOS) does not use cookies in the technical sense but uses native device storage for:
- Session token (encrypted)
- User preferences (settings, language)
- Content cache for offline use
To delete this data: uninstall the app or use "Clear data" in iOS settings.
Changes to this Cookie Policy
If we introduce analytics, profiling, or third-party cookies in the future:
- We will update this Cookie Policy
- We will implement a consent banner compliant with ePrivacy rules and the Garante's guidelines, with accept/reject options at the same hierarchical level
- We will notify you at least 30 days before the effective date
Connection with the Privacy Policy
This Cookie Policy is an integral part of the Privacy Policy accessible at ritorna.io/privacy, which you should consult for full information on personal data processing.
